Whatever I say is not enough! I think right now, besides the Valve Index which costs much more, there is no competition for the Quest. Especially with the new features they constantly add, like hand-tracking, airlink that allows you to play PCVR games wirelessly.

I've had it for just under a year now, and I use it standalone and I can say it's an amazing tool. I didn't have any other VR headset so I can't compare where it's better or worse, but I compare it to my expectations from VR :)

The image seemed excellent right away. The lens must be in a good position in front of your eye so it doesn't blur, and it took me months to find the right way to wear it. The limited FOV doesn't bother me at all, while I expected it to disappoint me. I don't like the black levels of the screen (especially when it's in supposed darkness). You can watch movies on a "cinematic-sized screen" with a resolution slightly higher than fullHD - If it wasn't tiring to have your head constantly in a helmet (and completely anti-social), I would prefer it every time over my 49" fullHD TV. Not from a regular cinema of course. As it is though, I use both VR and TV alternately - TV series/movies on the TV, and movies that I know were made for a big screen in VR.

The controller tracking is very good (I use it for sculpting) and the device is quite light. Unfortunately, the "free" headstrap is not comfortable - it's just straps (the only advantage is that because it's fabric, you can watch VR lying in bed without plastic sticking to your head). Hand-tracking (where it transfers your hands and movements into the virtual world a la Minority Report) is amazing when you want to do simple manipulations (a little browsing, watch a movie, a video, etc.) and you're too lazy to take the controllers out of the drawer. However, it's not as accurate as the controllers, so it's still too early to say that you don't need controllers.

The graphics (if you use it as a standalone device and not connected to your computer) are from the 2007 era - its processor is a "mobile" processor after all and runs on android. The 64GB is more than enough!

The construction is quite good. It's good to buy another headstrap that is more comfortable though. At first, it requires attention because if you're not familiar with it, it can cause nausea. It took me months to overcome it and it required small steps.

Τι να πω για το συγκεκριμενο Vr Headset. Αν καποιος θα μου ελεγε πριν απο 10 χρονια οτι με τοσα χρηματα θα μπορεις να μπεις σε εικονικο κοσμο χωρις καλωδια και λοιπα, θα τον αποκαλουσα τρελο. Ε λοιπον η εποχη αυτη ηρθε πολυ ποιο νωρις απο οτι φανταζομουν.

Γενικα το μονο VR που ειχα δοκιμασει στη ζωη μου ηταν στο κινητο το Google Cardboard πριν καποια χρονια και παρολο που ειχα εντυπωσιαστει με την εμπειρια, σε 20 δευτερολεπτα με επιανε ναυτια. Με αυτο δε σε πιανει ναυτια και αν σε πιασει λιγο μη ανησυχεις, συνηθηζετε. Ειναι οπως μικρα πηγαιναμε ταξιδι με το αυτοκινητο και σταματουσαμε στο δρομο να ξερασουμε. Μετα το συνηθησαμε και ημασταν οκ!

Οταν εβαλα το Oculus πραγματικα ενοιωσα σαν να μπαινω ΠΡΑΓΜΑΤΙΚΑ σε αλλο κοσμο. Λογου οτι δε χρειαζεται καλωδια και απλα το βαζεις και παιζεις το κανει ακομα ποιο αληθοφανες. Θυμαμε οταν επαιζα το Demo με το ρομποτακι με τις κασετες δε το χορταινα και χαζευα με το περιβαλλον. Μεχρι και κατω απο το τραπεζι μπορεις να χωθεις, πραγματικα ενοιωθα οτι ημουν εκει.

Το παρα πολυ καλο με το Oculus ειναι το εξης: Δεν χρειαζεσαι να στηνεις καμερες και κουραφεξαλα. Οι αισθητηρες ειναι πανω του. Τι σημαινει αυτο; Οτι αν υποθετικα ειχες μια τεραστια αποθηκη, πραγαμτικα θα επαιζες game και θα περπατουσες οπου ηθελες, φανταζεσαι να σε κυνηγαει κατι και να πρεπει να τρεχεις κανονικα και να κοιτας πισω αν ερχεται;! Δεν ξερω αν το αντεχα θα ηταν πραγματικη φρικη.

Παιζω τα εξης games. Half life Alyx και Βarebones. Ειδκα το Half life ηταν εμπειρια ζωης που θα πρεπει να τη ζησεις. Θυμαμαι στην αρχη ουρλιαζα οταν ημουν σε σκοταδια και πεταγονταν τα τερατακια (facehuggers). Να σημειωσω οτι γενικα παιζω χρονια horror games και δε φοβαμαι ευκολα. Αλλα εδω εκανα λες και επαιζα πρωτη φορα. Σηκωνα το οπλο να ριξω και εβλεπα το χερι μου μεσα το game να τρεμει. Χαχα, δε θα το ξεχασω ποτε αυτο.

Vr desktop, πραγματικα θα παθετε πλακα με την επειρια. Ειδικα με τα περιβαλλον που εχει μεσα. Θα νοιωθεις οτι εισαι σε αλλο pc σε ενα γραφειο στο Maiami.

Και ερχομαι στο κομματι που δεν εχει αναφερει κανεις. Ειναι το VR Porn. Ειναι τετοια η εμπειρια οπου πραγματικα αξιζει να το παρεις μονο και μονο για αυτο, θα φατε τρελο κολλημα. Το μονο μειονεκτημα ειναι οτι για να δεις καλα βιντεο με καλη αναλυση θα πρεπει να πληρωνεις συνδρομη καποια χρηματα το μηνα, εχω ειχα δωσει 30€ για ενα μηνα αλλα πραγματικα καηκα. Δε μου το ειχε προτεινει κανεις να το δοκιμσω απλα απο περιεργια πατησα VR Porn μεσα στον Browser του Oculus. Και εκει ξεκινησε το ταξιδι,. Δοκιμαστε το οπως και δηποτε. Ειναι αλλου η φαση...

+ Πολυ καλη ποιοτητα χειριστηριων με πολυ ωραια κουμπια στη καταληλη θεση .Σε κανει να νοιωθεις οτι οντως κρατας οπλο μεσα στο Game.
+ Χαμηλη τιμη για αυτα που σου προσφερει.
+ Portable, δηλαδη μπορεις να το παρεις μαζι σου σε ενα φιλο σου και να παιξετε χωρις καν να το συνδεσεις σε καποιο pc.

Αρνητικα:
- Θα ηθελα μεγαλυτερη μπαταρια 'η ποιο γρηγορο χρονο φορτισης (βεβαια μπορεις να αγορασεις ενα power bank και να επιμηκυνεις την διαρκεια του παιχνιδιου)
- Θα ηθελα να ηταν ακομη ποιο ανετο.
- Ιδρωνεις (ποιο πολυ απο το ανχος με αυτα που ζεις εκει) και θολωνουν οι φακοι κατα το game. Λυνεται αν παιζετε σε δροσερο δωματιο.
- Θελει λογαριασμο facebook.
- Υπαρχει περιπτωση να σου κλειδωσει το facebook και καλα λογο ηλικας. Ετυχε σε μενα και δε μπορεσα τον ανακτησω.

Αυτο με το facebook Θελει προσοχη παιδια, καθως αν σου το κλειδωσουν μετα θα πρεπει να φταιξεις αλλο facebook και αυτο σημαινει οτι θα χασεις τα games που ειχες αγοραζει απο το store. Ετυχε σε μενα αυτο και πραγματικα δεν εβγαλα ακρη. Δε μπορεσα να ξεκλειδωσω το account μου με τιποτα, παρολλο που επικοινωνησα και με το facebook και με την oculus.

Bottom line: Αν θελεις να μπεις στο κοσμο του VR με ελαχιστο motion sickness εως καθολου τοτε η εποχη αυτη ηρθε. Παρτο ΧΘΕΣ. Η ΚΑΛΥΤΕΡΗ ΑΓΟΡΑ ΠΟΥ ΕΧΩ ΚΑΝΕΙ ΠΟΤΕ ΣΤΗ ΖΩΗ ΜΟΥ.( αν φτασαμε τοσο μακρυα στη τεχνολογια του VR, φανταζομαι σε λιγα χρονια τι εχουμε να απολαυσουμε....)

For me, simply magical, without exaggeration. If you even slightly enjoy technology, the experience that this standalone VR headset offers, especially for its price, is truly unparalleled.

I suggest not judging solely based on the reviews you read, either here or on the internet. It's like someone describing a trip they took (because that's essentially what we're talking about), compared to actually experiencing it.

Try it out for yourself. Be in a virtual cinema where YouTube or your choice of 4K video plays on a huge screen, Netflix on your couch, playing ping-pong with great accuracy on controllers against people from the other side of the world, or skydiving over the Alps. And that's just the beginning.

I should note that I'm not new to this particular space (one of the first to get Oculus DK1 / DK2 / PSVR, etc.), nor am I easily impressed after decades of using (new) technologies at many different levels, also due to work.

Of course, we're not yet at the level of experience like Ready Player One. However, if you can accept some expected compromises, I believe the excitement, smile, and joy that Quest 2 can give you will be very difficult to have with any other electronic device, especially at this price.

By the way, the operating environment of Quest 2 as well as the introductory videos / learning programs are already in Greek and with Greek narration! Finally, I would recommend purchasing a VR Cover face cushion to make the hours-long use of the device more comfortable.

We've had it for a month now. Bought from American Amazon for 336 euros. It took 20 days to arrive, earlier than we expected and all is well. A few days later, I even got a refund of 11 euros on my card from Amazon because customs cost less! Respect. Let's talk about the product itself. Simple construction but beautiful. It sits comfortably on the head, the fabric straps are not a problem, the weight is small and its built-in speakers do a pretty good job. The setup is easy and quick, just need to have a Facebook account and connect it. In my eyes, the image quality is pretty good, just not perfect, but I have no complaints. Hand Tracking is enjoyable, it comes out very naturally right away and the first time you use it, it will blow your mind! The demos and free experiences are enough to get a good taste and from there on, its games are enjoyable with special mention to Beat Saber (of course!) and Walking Dead which is a tremendous experience! With the recent addition of extra Oculus apps, the range of games is even more enriched. The battery is a bit less powerful than I would like, for example with Wi-Fi on, casting to the TV so that the company can watch the game and playing Walking Dead, it lasts about 1 hour, but this is the worst scenario. Note that you can attach a Powerbank and put it in your pocket while playing and the time doubles or even triples. On the other hand, it's not bad to "force" you to take a break after 1-2 hours of playing. Personally, motion sickness is almost non-existent except for one experience with a very fast rollercoaster. Overall, a very complete entertainment package that at 325 euros, which is what it finally cost me, I say it's good value for money. Take it fearlessly for endless hours of joy in a new world of entertainment! Welcome... to the Oasis!

After this, I don't know if it's worth discussing PC VR. Guys, it's a regular console that does it all and benefits, what can I say:
1) Unplug and play, charge it a little and you're ready for games for up to 2 and a half hours of continuous play
2) Virtual Desktop, the best thing Oculus has done, which is not from Oculus. Play PC VR games faster than the Rift S (tested) and without the extra Oculus Apps, just need a good modem
3) I watch YouTube in bed, I wear it comfortably, lie down and watch TV / yt / whatever you want, without awkward positions, and with great clarity
4) Immersed VR, to work on the PC from VR, supports up to 5 Virtual screens, so forget the 500 minimum you would give for 5 screens and get the Quest, yesterday
5) We talked about not wanting any cables at all; and for extras, it also has Bluetooth. I go for a walk around the house and play wherever I want without setup and such
6) Speaking of walks, it has better passthrough than the Rift S, just double tap, one side of the headset and magically see where you are !!!!
7) PC VR with a 10 euro cable, easy ... (quality does not affect PCVR, but it is more than fine, with everything it offers) Virtual Desktop is better though.
8) Almost 2k display in each eye, LOL!
9) Lightweight, I don't even feel it on me
10) Many games, and better ones are coming
11) HAND TRACKING ?!!!! I forgot about it because it's still a bit Beta, and it's an experience in itself, I was speechless for about 30 minutes just saying this

Oh, and it costs 300 euros .... now leave Skroutz and go to Amazon to buy it, until a worthwhile price comes out in Greece.
